The Method

Intention and transformation

Step 1 | Assessment

Prior to beginning your ketamine exploration, we will conduct an initial intake session. During that time your Guide will determine eligibility by performing a pretreatment screening that will involve clarifying your intentions for KAP and evaluating your history. This helps us identify any other conditions that may complicate your treatments or render them ineffective

Step 3 | Create your Kontainer

Our goal at Kontainer is to create a metaphorical safe, physical, and sensory holding space where healing and transformation can occur. We have developed an evidence-based approach that guides our clients through the challenging work of exploring their inner worlds and working through difficult emotions. We understand that our clients need to feel safe and supported throughout their transformative journey, so let's collaborate on creating your Kontainer by curating an auditory playlist, setting the ideal room temperature, choosing your smells, and settling you into a zero-gravity chair.

Step 5 | Integration

Integration involves applying insights and lessons from the ketamine infusion.  After the initial KAP dosing session, it is recommended that you meet weekly with your therapist to debrief and integrate any emotional shifts into your day-to-day life. These experiences may range from the profound to the subtle. Still, all patients can reflect on and share their insights, potentially sparking transformative changes in their daily lives and altering their life path.

Step 2 | Set Intention

If KAP seems a good fit, we will schedule a consultation with a clinical prescriber at Kontainer. In this session, we will prepare you for your first KAP experience, unpack expectations, and discuss the process in great detail. Leading up to the first session, we will provide recommended guidelines.

Step 4 | Drop In

During the ketamine dosing session, your therapist is deliberately and unconditionally supporting you as you relax and start your healing journey. Patients generally recline and take their low-dose ketamine lozenge, which takes about ten minutes of swishing to dissolve. You will be encouraged to use an eye mask, tune into your internal experience, and listen to relaxing music. The therapist will take notes on what you share so you can drop into the moment and further integrate this experience in future sessions.

Step 6 | Maintenance Phase

Clients often benefit from KAP booster sessions to sustain the progress made during treatment. While an initial course of KAP fosters growth and healing, its effects may diminish over time. Booster sessions rekindle these benefits, restoring momentum in your journey. These sessions can be spaced several weeks or months apart, countering returning symptoms. Some clients may require three to six sessions, ensuring lasting progress and sustained health.
